Today, I would like to highlight none other than Nancy Cohen. Through the OPWDD Self-Direction program and Effective Supports & Solutions (@essnynj), Nancy gets support to maintain her apartment, employment and she even has her own business called Natania Craft Creativities, where she sells items ranging from crochet dishcloths and coasters to candles and artwork. Nancy is always looking to sharpen her skills and keeps herself busy taking cooking classes, excel/accounting classes and she just signed up with a personal trainer as she looks to tackle becoming healthier and fit!
I asked Nancy, ‘Is there anything you don’t do?’ She responded by saying there is nothing I can’t do!
Her attitude inspired me and left me with this burning question: What is stopping you from doing more with the life that God has given you? #LIVEintheMOMENTUM

I had the opportunity to connect with Ethan out in Long Island. In speaking with Ethan’s family, they really wanted Ethan to get some work experience. However, they wanted Ethan to be able to pursuit a career path. As a team, we decided that we would use the Self-Direction budget to support Ethan in following his passion, video editing.
Effective Supports & Solutions (@essnynj) was able to connect Ethan with Strehlau Media. Strehlau Media will work with Ethan to refine his skills and look to create avenues for Ethan to monetize his finished products.
What impressed me most about Ethan was his desire to become all that he can be and it inspired me to do the same. #LIVEintheMOMENTUM
